Zoe-perry

Perry is the child to Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry, a director. Her first appearances were on TV in the role of Jackie Harris, a character who was played by her mom in the ABC show Roseanne. She was not allowed to perform from the time she reached the age of adulthood because they were afraid of the anxiety it could cause. Perry confessed that she wasn't confident in her acting during her high school years, but started performing as way to get acquainted with new students while at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry, after graduating from Boston University, moved from Boston to New York in search of the role on TV. Perry was able to land small roles in television shows, such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, homesickness drove her to California to pursue theater opportunities. Perry's mother and I appeared on Broadway together with her in The Other Place, in 2013. In 2015, she starred together with Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer-winning Drama Anna Christie. The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. In 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes of ABC's thriller The Family. She had a regular role as a character on ABC Drama about politics Scandal which starred her father. She was also cast in the CBS comedy The Big Bang Theory spin-off Young Sheldon as a version younger of Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mom. The part was offered an audition to the actress, regardless of the fact that she has a family tie to the role.
