Cassandra Monique Batie known professionally as Andra Day is an American R&B and soul vocalist songwriter and actress. Alongside a Grammy Award and Golden Globe Award she's also up for nomination as an Academy Award. Andra isn't just an old-fashioned R&B singer, her gospel blues and jazz roots are displayed in a way that is both effortless and elegant. Stand Up for Something, the 2017 track she contributed to Marshall's score for the film Marshall was awarded an Academy Award as well as a Grammy. Amen (2018) Make Your Troubles (2020), and her Golden Globe-winning performance as Billie Holiday, in The United States against Billie Holiday(2021) have continued to raise expectations for her second album. Andra Day is the daughter of Cassandra Monique Batie and grew in Edmonds Washington. While in San Diego, she attended the School of Creative and Performing Arts and sang at the church. After leaving the School of Performing and Creative Arts, andra Day began to focus her attention on contemporary R&B and pop, but she soon realized her jazz-inspired soul influences were the ones she was drawn to. A major break came when a performance of hers was caught by Kai Millard Morris who subsequently gave some of Day's tracks to her husband Stevie Wonder. Motown legendary Adrian Gurvitz then introduced Day to the music industry's veteran Adrian Gurvitz. Day, who was allied with Gurvitz and Jeffrey Evans Buskin Label Day, became a YouTube sensation and later signed with Warner Bros. In 2012 Day came out with Forever Mine as her debut song on YouTube. DJs began playing the track on the radio. She subsequently was signed to Warner Bros. Records and began cooperating with her producer, Adrian Gurvitz to record the album that she released as her debut, Cheers to the Fall (2015). The album included the track Rise up and was chosen as an anthem by the social justice movement across the globe. Day was nominated for two Grammys which included Best R&B Album. The United States against Billie Holiday is a conceptual recording about the legend jazz singer. It came out by Day in the year 2019. The United States Versus Billie Holiday is a biographical account of Holiday that was released the following year. Andi Matichak is a famous American actress. She began her career in the television series Orange Is the New Black and 666 Park Avenue and Blue Bloods. Her debut in film was in the role of Allyson in the horror series Halloween. Andi Matichak, an American actress born on the 03rd of May, 1994. She was born in Framingham Massachusetts, United States of America.
